The Origin: From a Cathedral to a Movement

It started in September 2000. Standing inside St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City, Vanessa was struck by a vision and a question: What if we had a space like this, where people of all faiths & spiritual curiosities could reflect, learn and connect under one roof?

She imagined a "temple for the curious", a neutral, sacred ground where we could safely question, explore, and hold vigil without the weight of dogma. A place where the architecture of the building is matched by the architecture of the conversations, the connections, and the commonwealth we create together.

Post-9/11, that question became an urgent mission. Vanessa teamed up with her friend, fellow community builder and Founder of Hera Hub - Felena, who was had the same big "why": Why is there so much division? How do we find out way back together.”

Together, they founded GodLuck™.

What began as a small gathering in their homes, evolved into a monthly supper club with a mission of understanding each other and finding a way to contribute to world peace.

The philosophy is simple: It’s a lot harder to hate someone once you’ve shared their family recipes and learned their story.

We believe that when we understand each other better, peace and friendship become possible.
